“De Bietenhaven” group property is situated in the Schermer, a unique area of reclaimed land on the ring canal, with a trio of windmills nearby. The property has its own landing stage (from where the farm’s beet used to be shipped). This is a wonderful place to fish, watch the boats and, relax!
By prior arrangement you can take a trip in a traditional coal barge owned by the farm. It is possible to reach the centre of Alkmaar by boat in 45 minutes!
In 30 minutes you reach the beach.
In May and June the farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful peonies.
The farm is suitable for accommodating a maximum of 30 people comfortably. The farmhouse was magically transformed in 2006 into a luxury group property and consists of a large kitchen/living-room with an adjoining double living-room, 12 spacious bedrooms, with their own bathroom facilities, integrated recreation room measuring 45 m2 and a large garden with play equipment, fire place and magnificent distant views.
